Circafrica is the world’s first acrobatic circus Festival combining circus arts and African traditions. Some eight troupes from all four corners of Africa – Burkina Faso, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Senegal, and South Africa – treat us to an outstanding show revealing a youthful, uncharted, and different kind of circus where music and dance are omnipresent and traditions have their place. The performances often tell a story as in the dance of the giant masks presented by the amazing Dodo troupe. The same enchantment unfolds as we see the tightrope acts, stilt walkers, and jugglers in the Jambo Mambo troupe, as well as the Assassissou troupe featuring three contortionists juggling with pans at an infernal rhythm… A mind-blowing experience!
The Zip Zap Circus - South Africa ; The Dodo Troupe - Burkina Faso ; Cairo Troupe of the Egyptian National Circus ; The Equator Circus Troupe - Gabon ; The Assassissou Troupe - Ghana ; The Niamakalas - Guinea Conakry ; The Jambo Mambo Troupe - Kenya ; The «Côté Jardin» Troupe - Senegal ; with the participation of The Annie Fratellini Circus School
